It hurts when the team realizes that it is time to retreat, but nevertheless there are numerous ways to execute a successful retreat. Hereâ??s how.

Strategize a plan. The whole team must be ready to go to a safe area if it is necessary to retreat. Find a place that provides enough cover to protect yourself. It would be a good idea to move closer to the assist team members in order to obtain help. The assist units are usually concealed prior to the start of the game so the opposing team will not have any idea where the players are heading.

Be a team: work together, run together, and fight together. The best protection is always team power. Watching each otherâ??s back can save the whole squad as this helps the team re-engage as soon as theyâ??re back in a safe area.

Fire back: to free your selves from the enemy, the team must fire in sync and with great intensity to keep the enemyâ??s heads down. This could buy time for you to make a successful retreat. Three to four seconds of blasting can be good preparation for retreat.

Move with a plan: to repeat, strategize! Retreating does not necessarily mean rushing to safety. While retreating make certain that the opposing paintball players are given a hard time. The whole squad should take turns in returning fire for cover. In the end it is surprising to see that there were multiple shots fired at the opposing team while retreating. They may be running after the retreating team so is it is easy to shoot at enemy when they are in the open.

While there is still room for control, end the retreat: not when the whole team can no longer be shot but when there is still a chance to fight the opponent. It will be harder when the enemies cannot to be seen because the damage they could inflict is much worse.

The catch! There are special occasions when a team retreats just to lure the enemies into a trap. By keeping the paintball team together and drawing back, it might give the opponent the feeling they are already winning and they might be easier to attack. Once the assisting unit is behind you, utilize speed and shoot the enemies. Ah! The winning moment.

Being fired at during a paintball game is not to be used as a reason to retreat. It could be a good chance to change stations and use the advantage for better cover. It might be good to retreat in order to mess up the enemyâ??s strategies.

I have never been snowboarding before but I cannot deny how amazingly cool snowboarding holidays look. It now seems likely that I will get a chance to prove myself on the slopes this coming April. After watching a few videos on the internet, I concluded that good snowboarders really do look fantastic. Less than good snowboarders however, look injured on hospital stretchers, which then prompted me to look up basic snowboard safety.

This, however, did not mean that I am put-off from the impending experience, through the fear of pain. If you never did anything that scared you occasionally, you would never take part in anything. I am in the mood to be a bit reckless and do something exciting for once and snowboarding holidays are always great for raising the adrenalin.

As with all snowboarding holidays, in order to get the most out of the experience, and indeed to get out of the experience itself in one piece, a healthy knowledge of the dangers and the pitfalls is essential for a safe snowboarding trip, for yourself and your fellow boarders.

I was slightly amused to find out that snowboarding injuries are statistically similar to car accidents, there is a tendency to be more accidents among women but injuries in men are often more severe. It is ‘bump in the car park’ vs. ’70mph head on collision’ gender thinking.

Even if you are a strong skier and it is your first time on a snowboarding holiday, take a lesson or two to begin with. Just because you are a good skier, does not automatically mean you will be a good snowboarder as things like body tension and movement are very different from skiing. This means you will need much time to adjust, it also means the injuries you can sustain vary as well.

The most common injuries sustained while snowboarding are sprained or fractured wrists, elbow dislocations or contusions and rotator cuff injuries in the shoulder area. In addition, other common risks include neck injuries and concussion.

A good advice for beginners (or any snowboarder with safety in mind) is to invest in wrist and elbow guards, kneepads and a pad for your tailbone. People going on snowboarding holidays for the first time are more than likely to spend a significant proportion of their time falling on their backside and a bruised tailbone can be excruciating.

Most people have heard of the term ‘tennis elbow’, but not many people know that snowboarders have their own signature injury called Snowboarders Ankle. This amounts to a fracture to the lateral process of the Talus bone, located deep in the ankle and is rare in the general population. The injury gains its name by being 15 times more common in snowboarders and is very tricky to spot in the early stages owing to the swelling. If you suffer from sustained pain in your ankle after a fall, you may need a CT scan to rule out this sneaky fracture.

Prevention is simple, when out on the slopes, wearing ankle braces can offer more support, making serious injury less likely. Good training that you can do before, after and during your snowboarding excursions is using a wobble board. In addition, a popular and effective method of rehabilitation, involves balancing on a circular board on top of a half sphere. This works the muscles and ligaments in the ankle and knees, and can reduce repeat injuries cutting down rehab time dramatically.

As with all extreme sports, snowboarding does come with risks (it would not be half as exciting if it did not). The best snowboarding safety advice offered is also the simplest.

* Do not take on more difficult runs than you can manage safely.

* Be aware of other skiers and boarders.

* When trying something new or challenging, do not go it alone and do not let others experiment alone.

* Make sure all your equipment is in good condition and keep checking it.

* Resist the urge to show off. It can end badly.

* Do not give up on your first day, keep on persevering and you will do well.

* Remember to smile!

Have you ever known how skateboarding came to be a sport? The history of it is quite interesting. It started out in the 1950’s and many believed it would just be one more passing fad that people took part in. While it has had peaks and valleys since its introduction, skateboarding has proven it is much more than just a passing fad.

The first skateboard was quite different from today’s skateboard. They offered a handle bar on them, just like many types of scooters that we see on the market today. This handle bar is what allowed these early skateboards to be maneuvered and controlled. However, it didn’t take long for the idea to remove the handle bar to come along. Many believe this early idea was the result of the popularity of surf boarding at the time.

By the 1960’s, the most popular one was the Roller Derby Skateboard. It was actually introduced in 1959 just ahead of the competitors. However, it took many of these companies to keep up with the demand for them. It is estimated that between 1960 and 1963 more than 50 million skateboards were sold. Keep in mind that we didn’t have the technology that we have today in order to mass produce such items in large buildings.

When the skateboarding official contests were started by manufacturers in 1963 it only further fueled the frenzy to have one. So what happened that slowed down the craze for skateboards? There are two main reasons that cause the sales down. First, the economic status of the United States began to slow down so people weren’t able to buy as many extras as before. Second, many so called experts out there were talking about how unsafe skateboards were.

However, there were plenty of people that were taking a new interest in skateboards by the early 1970’s. This was due to the introduction of a variety of great moves and tricks. This added a new dimension to skateboarding that hadn’t been there in the past. Now there was much more involved with it all than just simply riding a skateboard. Many of the top competitors out there took things to the extremes and continued to push the limits.

In 1974 a huge change too place regarding the size of the skateboards. Up to this point the standard was either 6 or 7 inches in width. It now became 9 inches which consumers were very pleased with. These additional few inches offered riders more stability and that meant it was easier for them to control regardless of what they liked to do on their skateboard.

The availability of ramps and other materials that skaters could use at home in the 1980’s kept the trend of skateboarding going strong. Now people didn’t have to rely upon just skate parks for them to enjoy. However, you also had an abundance of city ordinances around this same time. Many of them prohibited the use of skateboards on public sidewalks and streets.

As a result, the sales did dip into the 1990’s. Yet once again the idea of skateboarding was thriving. Many believe it had to do with the availability of the internet. People could view plenty of skateboarding action online. At the same time the sporting channel ESPN took on this sport as well.

One thing is for sure, skateboarding has enough of a following that it is here to stay. It is fun to look back at where it has been though over the years. What is also exciting is to speculate about what the future holds for the sport of skateboarding. With the worldwide presence it has, there is always plenty going on concerning it.

“A cool way to enjoy and be adventurous in the beach of Oahu is through surfing. However, if you are a first-timer, hitting those huge waves wonâ??t be that easy. Itâ??s a good thing that in Oahu, surf lessons are being provided to let tourists like you take more pleasure in experiencing the wildness of nature.

A surf camp in Oahu offers a wide variety of surfing techniques and moves, which are always demonstrated by professional surfers so that learners are properly guided.

Not knowing how and what to do when surfing is really quite embarrassing at times. This feeling, however, should not be since professional surfers also started with zero knowledge about surfing. If not for enrolling in a surf school in Oahu, they wouldnâ??t have learned the basic and advanced techniques of the sport. Besides, youâ??re doing this just for fun, right? You do not need to pressure yourself into becoming a surfing pro all at once.

Learning to surf is similar to writing for the first time. In writing, you need to know how to hold and maneuver your pen while in surfing your surfboard represents the pen. As you proceed in writing, you gradually learn the curves and lines of each letter; in surfing, the waves might seem scary at first but eventually youâ??ll learn how to be one with it. Surfing is almost always perceived a difficult and complicated sport in the beginning but a reputable surf school in Waikiki will teach you all you need to know so you donâ??t have to worry about messing up in the beach. Concentrate on the basics as you take up Surfing 101.

Aside from learning how to control the waves, taking up Waikiki surf lessons will open you to the beauty of this kind of sport. Imagine yourself standing up on your surfboard for the very first time, itâ??s a personal achievement, isnâ??t it? As you go out there to practice what you have learned in school, there will be instances youâ??ll fall and start all over again. Such situation should never let you down instead serve as your inspiration to do better next time. To improve yourself on surfing, donâ??t hesitate to ask questions and simple techniques from your trainer. Be observant and try to understand how the pros do it in preparation for your next endeavor with the waves.

If you are planning to take surfing more seriously in hope of joining a competition someday, select the right surf school so you can get an excellent training course. Choosing the right place to study in plays a big factor in honing your surfing skills. Make your surfing classes more fun by inviting your friends to enroll, too. Getting moral support from people you trust and love will surely motivate you to do your best. If you canâ??t seem to grasp your surfing lessons, walk up to your trainer and be honest about it. This way, he can slow down a bit and be more conscious about how far youâ??ve gone. Remember, thereâ??s always room for improvement, donâ??t pressure yourself too much. Happy surfing!”

These tips will help you learn new skateboard tricks much faster.

Tip #1: Set Goals.

Working at a trick consistently will help you learn new skateboard tricks faster.

The saying: “If you don’t know where you’re going, it doesn’t matter how you’re getting there” is true for skating.

Working at a trick consistently will help you learn new skateboard tricks, and sometimes this will require a bit of perseverance and committedness. To learn new skateboard tricks, write some goals for tricks you want to learn and then work at some of them each time you skate.

Do this for a while and you’ll find the trick easier and easier.

Tip #2: Commit!

To learn new skateboard tricks, centre on landing the trick, not avoiding slamming.

The main reason I people take a long time to learn new skateboard tricks is because they’re just not committed to landing the trick.

They’re too busy worrying about hurting themselves rather than trying to learn new skateboard tricks. If all you’re concerned with is not slamming then you’re going to have a hard time learn new skateboard tricks.

Just focussing on ‘not hurting yourself’ mean you’ll end up bailing out of the trick even when you’ve got a good chance of landing it. To learn new skateboard tricks, you need to try hard to land the trick and have a clear picture in your mind of what you’ll do and centre on doing it.

You will fall sometimes, but slamming is rarely as bad as we imagine it to be and injuries are pretty uncommon.

The only way to learn how to do tricks on skateboard is to be committed to actually landing the trick!

Tip #3: Work up to it.

Don’t try to land 360 flips if you can’t even ollie up a curb or 50-50.

This sounds crazy, but I see people doing it all the time.If you really want to learn new skateboard tricks, you need to build up your skills from basic tricks to the more advanced ones.

To learn new skateboard tricks, you need to treat it like building blocks – tricks build onto each other. The more basic, foundational tricks you learn, the easier the advanced tricks will come.Take the time to sharpen up on your basic tricks and the harder tricks will come much easier.

Tip # 4: Have fun.

There’s nothing worse than being unhappy while trying to learn new skateboard tricks, and chances are you won’t learn it if you’re angry or impatient.

To learn new skateboard tricks, make sure you’re having fun – if you aren’t, try something else and come back to it later on. Skateboarding is supposed to be fun – that’s why we doing it.If it’s not fun for you, you’re doing it for the wrong reason .

Tip # 5: Get advice from Professionals

There are some great products on the ‘net for helping you learn new skateboard tricks. One of them is ‘Secrets of Skateboarding’ – it shows you how a skateboarder learnt in 8 weeks what takes most skateboarders many months (or even years) to master!

This guide comes with loads of free bonuses, and has received great reviews:

“I took your advice and did the exercises and techniques them and saw incredible improvements in my skateboarding.I mastered the varial flip in 3 days! It is the perfect step-by-step skateboard guide. I am so excited about using it to learn more tricks.”- Fred C

Snowboarding is getting to be one of the most popular winter sports due to which there are an increased amount of people who need to transport their snowboards safely to different resorts during the winter season and sometimes follow the snow during summer time. The best way to carry your snowboard safely without damaging it is to install a snowboarding rack on your automobile. Let us explore together what your choices are.

Different Types of Snowboarding Racks

There are a few types of snowboarding racks you can choose from; depending on the size of your car as well as the number of snowboards that you will be storing in the rack at one time will determine your choice accordingly.

The suggested snowboarding rack, which seems to cover most areas, required is the multiple snowboard detachable rack that is installed on the roof of your car. The advantages of this snowboarding rack is that it can be removed by yourself with ease in order to use the roof of your car for other purposed as and when needed; it is fully covered which assures your snowboards will be safe at all times both from the weather and unwanted guests.

Depending on the material you choose your snowboarding rack to be made of the price will differ accordingly however, my suggestion would be to invest in a quality material if you already have invested in snowboards so they don’t get damaged or stolen.

Where to Acquire Your Snowboarding Rack

You can find snowboarding racks usually at auto parts store and snowboarding equipment as well. Both places would only be too happy in assisting you to custom order one should you not be able to find one of your choice in their inventory. Even though the snowboarding rack don’t come cheap they are worth the investment as they usually last you a lifetime should you take care of it as indicated; ensure that you have at least a year warranty on the same as well as service from the company should the need arise.

The best time to purchase the rack would be during off season in the summer when you will find bargains and packages to fit all budgets. Snowboarding enthusiasts will find that the snowboarding rack is a necessary investment if they want to keep their precious snowboards in top shape for the winter sports.

A wealth of information about this snowboarding can be found through a number of locations:

1) The Internet – A favorite search engine

2) The Library – Don’t forget about free books!

3) A Bookstore – Again, books are full of useful information.

Nicaragua is one of the few places

with great surfing no matter the skill level. Those who can handle large swells can find a beach to accommodate them. Beginners can also go to a beach to find easier waves to ride.

Marsella is another excellent surfing option. This beach also has some great waves, and you can hit the beach and spend an entire day just riding waves. While there are a lot of people that go to this beach, you can still find your own part of the water to wave hunt.

While there are many great beaches to choose from if you are looking for surfing, Playa Maderas is one of the best. It has great waves, and it has a consistency that surfers love. No matter the time of the year, a surfer can find some great waves to ride at this beach.

This is very exciting for people who have surfed in other parts of the world. Many surfing destinations are short or waves and high on people. There are too many people for the waves that are available, and that can make surfing miserable.

Experienced surfers can get some of the best surfing in of their life when they visit this beach. It is a favorite for surfers because it delivers over and over again.

Nicaragua is known for its great surfing. Tourists come to Nicaragua to enjoy the beach along with the wonderful surfing conditions. Those who love a challenge are able to ride the waves in some of the most gorgeous beaches in the world.

When you surf in Nicaragua, you can surf on beaches that are exposed to swells from the northwest and the southwest. That makes the surfing much more exciting. Instead of surfing on a beach and waiting for waves to roll in, there is one wave after another when you choose this surfing location.

The surfing in Nicaragua is available year round. The power of the waves change through the year, but one can go and find a wave no matter the month of the year. Therefore, you do not have to plan your trip around surfing. You can go to Nicaragua at any time and bring your surfboard along. You will be able to get a lot of use out of it. No matter what your experience level is, you can bring your surfboard and have a great time.

If you are new to surfing and want to give a try, there are beaches in Tola that will give you the kind of peaceful waves you will need to get started. Tola is a great place to learn how to handle a surfboard. After you spend some time at one of the Tola beaches, you will be ready to branch out and try one of the other offerings.

Also, because the waves in Tola are mild, there are not as many surfers around. You will get some privacy as you learn about surfing. It is a fun way to spend the day.

That is not the case in Nicaragua. There are plenty of waves, and you are sure to find your own area to surf in.

While you do not have to surf to enjoy Nicaragua, you can have a great time if you bring a board and hit the beach. This is one of the premier surfing destinations in the world. Anyone who loves surfing should give it a try so they can find out why Nicaragua is rated as one of the best surfing destinations. No matter if you have a lot of experience or are new to surfing, you can have a wonderful time with the waves.

Rock climbing is a sport, which involves climbing steep rocks. This sport originated in the nineteenth century in Saxony, Lake District of England. After Walter Parry Haskett Smith climbed Napes Needle alone for the first time, many people were attracted and it later converted to sports in England, in 1880s and by 1930s some two hundred climbing resorts opened in the Elbsandstein region. As the sport evolved grading system was introduced to analyze different levels of difficulties while climbing. Both the safety equipments and climbing techniques have been evolved with the passage of time.
A climber should be mentally and physically be strong to overcome difficulties and having extensive knowledge can make the task easier. Initially the climbers can learn in pairs, while one learns to climb the other can belay or feed the rope from either end of the rock structure. Incase the climber falls, the belayer can lock off the rope. When multiple climbers climb, the leader can connect a rope with carabiners or quickdraws as a protection measure. A more risky method, simul-climbing, involves the leader and the team members to move at the same time, giving less time to belay the rope.
There are many variations to the traditional rock climbing. They can be broadly classified into free climbing and aid climbing. Climbers do not use any kind of equipment in free climbing and in aid climbing; equipments are used to support the weight of the body against the rocks, which have less natural formation.
In lead climbing, the leader of the group of climber ties the rope to his body and starts to climb the rock structure first, followed by his other team members who have the same rope tied to their individual bodies. In traditional lead climbing, the leader places bolts into the rock to ascend and the followers use the same bolts. The cleaner is responsible to remove the bolts so that no trace is left of the path taken. If any of the climbers’ slips or falls, they will lower themselves on to the ground to start over again, instead on resting on the rope.
In sport lead climbing, bolts are already laid into the rocks so the leader doesn’t have to carry extra equipment with him. But in this case, there is a risk of bolts rusting as they are laid before hand, and if precaution isn’t taken it can be dangerous. If any of the climbers falls, he will rest on the rope and will try to climb again.
When a rope is suspended from an anchor, which is placed on the top of the rock structure, this technique of climbing is known as top rope climbing. This involves a solo climber who is belayed from either the top or the bottom of the hill.
Short climbs on tough boulders is known as bouldering. Some climbers use safety ropes, which are dropped above them and some, find bouldering mat more useful. In case a climber falls, spotting from the ground level by other climbers can break his fall.
Solo climbing involves a single climber who uses rope and protection devices to get to the top of the stone structure. Free solo climbing involves a single climber who uses nothing but natural features of the rock formation to ascend.
Since rock climbing has become more of a lifestyle now, indoor climbing has been on the rise. It is also a good way to get started. An environment is created indoor with the help of wood, plastic and fiberglass.
Rock climbing can be hazardous from environment point of view. Because bolts are driven into the rocks, this can be really harmful if done on a large scale. Other than this, soil erosion, garbage, human excretion, damage to native plants by introduction of foreign plant which grow from the seeds brought by clothing and shoes, etc. are other possible harmful effects. To reduce these effects, it is recommended to practice clean climbing.

Beginner skydivers can try tandem skydiving if it is their first time which helps them to enjoy the experience more without the worry. Overall New Jersey is a great place to skydive for people of all skill levels.

Are you worried about skydiving?

Do you desperately want to skydive but you are worrying about undergoing lots of different tests and training? It could be that you are absolutely terrified about doing the skydive and you would like some moral support and this is where tandem diving comes in.

Everything You Need to Know About Tandem Skydiving

Tandem skydiving could be the answer to allow people to enjoy the whole experience without the need for any extended written exams. Basically with a tandem skydive, the person is connected to an experienced skydiver using a harness. The great thing about this is that they will control the whole jump including the jumping, freefalling, using the parachute and then the landing too. Because of all this, the student will only need a minimal amount of instructions to keep in mind for the jump. This takes the stress out of worrying about the jump and just enjoying the whole experience.

A great place to go skydiving is with Skydive Jersey Shore who are there to make a skydivers experience the best that it can be. They ask you to fill in paperwork before you attend a 30 minute class and they will cover the equipment, safety, how to land, freefalling etc. As a student you will be told about everything that is associated with skydiving to mentally prepare you for jumping out of the plane.

You will be about 2 miles up and being mentally prepared is imperative, but it is certainly worth it for the people who take the plunge. It will be a great scenic view from high up in the plane especially on a nice clear day, making the experience that much better.

As you and the instructor jump out of the plane, you will experience up to sixty seconds of freefalling, knowing that the instructor is right behind you all the time. As the parachute opens, you will then have a breathtaking experience lasting from four to six minutes in the air before landing. You get a chance to steer the parachute which can also be a great experience and then you can take in the great views and sights around you.

If you are a more experienced skydiver, New Jersey can also be a great place to go skydiving. A lot of the skydiving schools offer an eight jump skydiving program to its students, or you can choose a lesson by lesson program for whatever suits your requirements.

So whatever level you are at, skydiving in New Jersey helps to cater for everyone to offer the best experience possible.
